Ferozepur Police's bold crackdown on criminal activities: 11 arrested, weapons seized

Ferozepur, November 15, 2024: In a significant move to combat criminal activities and uproot drug networks, Ferozepur Police under the leadership of SSP Soumya Mishra have intensified their operations and succeeded in arresting 11 criminals with weapons involved in a murder case.
SSP Mishra emphasized that the district police are fully committed to eliminating antisocial elements and swiftly pursuing those who defy the law. Special teams led by various district officers have been mobilised to ensure prompt enforcement.
Police teams, under the tutelage of SP(D) Randhir Kumar, along with Sukhwinder Singh, Fateh Singh Bara, Karan Sharma, DSPs, Deputy Inspector Mohit Dhawan, Incharge C.I.A. are making continued efforts against crime in the district and actively pursuing other suspects and investigating further incidents of theft and violence.
SP Randhir Kumar said, that among the key recoveries, the police teams arrested 11 criminals at different police stations in the district.
The four gang members are linked to multiple incidents of looting and violence especially on the street and crime by bailed-out criminals. The suspects – Sukhpreet Singh alias Budha (25), Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh (21), Luvpreet alias Shiva (19), and Kulwinder Singh alias Gill (24) – all residents of Zira, were apprehended with an illegal .30 bore pistol, a ‘desi katta’ (.315 bore), and 8 live cartridges. They have been booked under the Arms Act and are implicated in cases under the NDPS Act and various IPC sections.
In another case, Aman Kumar from Canal Colony and Gurpreet Singh alias Goldi from Narang Ke Syal were arrested in connection with a murder in Khilchi Qadim village. Recovered from them were two pistols and live cartridges. Aman faces six previous cases under the Arms and Prisons Act, and Gurpreet is involved in NDPS cases at Cantt Police Station.
In the third theft and robbery cases, Abdul alias Abhi of Bootelwala and Akashdeep alias Lala were arrested within 24 hours for incidents of loot and mobile snatching. Abdul has three cases against him at Kulgarhi Police Station, while Akashdeep faces charges under multiple sections for robbery and assault.
In another case, Sanju alias Lali from Basti Aawa was detained for possessing a stolen motorcycle, seven large ‘kadas’ (65 kg), and two batteries. He has ten cases against him in various police stations. Another individual, Manpreet Singh alias Sonu, was caught with a .32 bore pistol and four live cartridges and is also linked to eight previous cases.
The district police have vowed to maintain this momentum and demonstrate a firm stance against narcotics and criminal networks throughout Ferozepur. The Ferozepur Police’s persistent crackdown reflects their determination to restore safety and lawfulness to the region. All the accused will be produced in the court to get police remand for further investigation with a special focus on their involvement in other criminal cases and links with any gangster.
