As is customary every year, the Prakash Parv of the First Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was celebrated with great devotion at the residence of the Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, Sardar Iqbal Singh Lalpura. This religious ceremony witnessed the participation of a large number of central leadership, Punjab leaders, bureaucrats, and personalities from the film industry. The guests were welcomed by Lalpura’s son, Ajayveer Singh Lalpura.
On this occasion, the Sangat was blessed with Gurbani Kirtan by the jathas of Bhai Amandeep Singh Ji and Bhai Anantveer Singh California Ji. Central Law Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal narrated a Sakhi of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on this occasion. Addressing the Sangat, Sardar Iqbal Singh Lalpura extended his greetings to everyone on Gurpurab. He said that the arrival of Baba Nanak on earth dispelled darkness and illuminated the world. He emphasized that the path of Guru Nanak is one of love, and we should all embrace the teachings of the Jagat Guru to lead a successful life.
Ajayveer Singh Lalpura stated that on this auspicious occasion, we should all adopt Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of “Kirat Karo, Naam Japo, and Vand Chhako” and dedicate our lives to the betterment of society. He thanked all the Sangat who attended the ceremony. The event was hosted by former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon.
The highlight of the program was a spectacular laser show based on the life of Guru Sahib, which created a divine atmosphere, leaving the Sangat in tears. At the end of the ceremony, everyone was served Guru Ka Langar. Prominent personalities who attended the event included Law Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Central Minister Harsh Malhotra, World Cancer Care Chief Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, former Cabinet Minister Meenakshi Lekhi, President of Delhi Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, MP Manoj Tiwari, and from the Punjabi film industry Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi, Dev Kharoud, Varinder Singh Binnu Dhillon, folk singer Pammi Bai, Baljit Balli, Editor, Babushahi Network and advocate HS Phoolka.
