Ferozepur SVEEP Team Launches Punjab Election Quiz-2025 on National Voter’s Day
Ferozepur, January 15, 2025: Marking National Voter’s Day 2025, the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) team in Ferozepur has launched the registration drive for the Punjab Election Quiz-2025. This initiative, under the guidance of Punjab’s Chief Electoral Officer, aims to engage youth, promote voter education, and strengthen democratic values.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Ms. Deepshikha Sharma, announced that online registrations, which began on December 28, 2024, will close on January 17, 2025. Students can register on the Punjab Dot India State Quiz platform by submitting their Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, and School/College ID.
In collaboration with educational institutions, an on-spot registration camp was held at SUS University Constituent College, Mohan Ke Hithar. District Education Officer (Secondary) Ms. Manila Arora and Deputy District Education Officer Dr. Satinder Singh coordinated the event, witnessing active participation from students and faculty.
The state-level online quiz will take place on January 19, followed by an offline district-level competition for 23 districts in Ludhiana on January 24. Prizes include a laptop, tablet, and smartwatch for top performers.
Student volunteers like Roshni Verma and Balraj Singh significantly contributed to the drive's success by assisting registrants and promoting the campaign.
Senior officials, including Tehsildar Rajinder Singh and Election Kanungo Gagandeep, have urged youth participation, highlighting this platform as a way to engage with democracy and showcase knowledge while earning exciting rewards.
