10 school vehicles challaned under Safe School Vahan policy in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 16, 2025: In a bid to ensure adherence to the Safe School Vahan Policy, a checking drive was conducted under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Deepashikha Sharma, led by ADC-cum-RTA Dr. Nidhi Kumud Bambha. The drive, carried out in coordination with ATO Rakesh Kumar Bansal and the District Child Protection Unit, inspected school vehicles for compliance with safety norms. During the inspection, 10 school vehicles found violating the policy were issued challans.
Drivers were also instructed to exercise extra caution while driving in foggy conditions. The inspection team emphasized that vehicles failing to meet the standards of the Safe School Vehicle Policy would face strict legal action without exception. Additionally, reflectors were installed on school vehicles to enhance visibility.
Key officials present during the drive included RTA staff members Ankush Pupneja, Inderjit Singh, and Rajpal Singh, along with Satnam Singh from the District Child Protection Unit.
This initiative underscores the administration's commitment to ensuring the safety of school children and maintaining road safety regulations.
