The Amritsar District Administration has initiated a special program called Future Tycoon to provide talented individuals in the district, regardless of age or gender, with the opportunity to establish their own businesses.
Under this initiative, the district administration will facilitate access to funding, copyright, promotion, experience, expert opinions, and all necessary support to transform business ideas into reality.
This program was initially launched by Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney in Patiala and Ludhiana, where it received an overwhelming response.
While inaugurating the event, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney stated that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, will provide a suitable platform and conducive environment for new entrepreneurs to initiate businesses and generate employment through Future Tycoon.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, the primary objective is to provide aspiring entrepreneurs in the district with opportunities to showcase their skills and offer comprehensive assistance in securing financial aid to ensure business success.
Sakshi Sawhney emphasized that efforts will be made to provide a suitable platform for students, youth, women, differently-abled individuals, small and large business owners, and those associated with the tourism industry to transform their innovative concepts and plans into reality.
To achieve this, the administration will collaborate with IIM Amritsar, Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab Technical University, PhD Chamber, and local business leaders.
A call for business ideas has been issued, with the top three proposals receiving cash prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 20,000, and Rs 10,000, respectively.

MLA Dr. Jasbir Singh Sandhu praised the Deputy Commissioner's initiative and assured that the Punjab government would provide all necessary support to enable children, youth, and women in the district to become entrepreneurs.
Guru Nanak Dev University Vice Chancellor Dr. Karamjit Singh commended the Deputy Commissioner's efforts and pledged support on behalf of the university.
The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Amit Sarin, Assistant Commissioner General Gursimranjit Kaur, Amit Madan, Himani Arora from FICCI Flow, Piara Lal Seth, Ashok Sethi, Salil Kaplesh, and Deputy CEO Employment Business Bureau Tirathpal Singh, along with numerous businessmen and students.
