Shiromani Akali Dal to Finalize Membership Drive Strategy in Parliamentary Board Meeting on Jan 20
Chandigarh, January 9, 2025—The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has scheduled an important meeting of its Parliamentary Board for January 20 at 1 p.m. at the party headquarters in Chandigarh.
The meeting will finalize the details of the party's large-scale membership drive, targeting the recruitment of 25 lakh members by February 20. The initiative is a major organizational effort aimed at strengthening the party's grassroots presence across Punjab.
The meeting will be presided over by S. Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Chairman and Working President of SAD, and will include the participation of senior party leaders, including S. Janmeja S. Sekhon, S. Gulzar Singh Ranike, S. Hira Singh Gabhria, S. Mahesh Inder S. Grewal, and Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema.
The SAD leadership is focusing on mobilizing its cadre and connecting with people ahead of upcoming electoral challenges. The membership drive is seen as a key step in revitalizing the party's organizational strength.
Notably, the election of the new party president will be held on March 1.
