Transport Deptt promotes Road Safety Awareness among morning walkers in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 1, 2025: An awareness campaign as part of National Road Safety Month 2025 was organized and this initiative aimed to educate morning walkers about essential road safety measures, under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Deepsikha Sharma, the Ferozepur Transport Department, led by ADC-cum-RTA Dr. Nidhi Kumud Bambah and RTO Karnbir Singh Cheena, organized
The campaign highlighted the importance of being cautious while traveling during foggy weather, emphasizing the risks posed by reduced visibility. Walkers were encouraged to prefer parks for their morning routines instead of roads to minimize the chances of accidents.
The participants were also advised on safe driving practices, including maintaining lower speeds, using headlights effectively, and adhering to traffic rules during foggy conditions. The department stressed the significance of adopting these measures to prevent road mishaps and ensure public safety.
