Patiala (Punjab), February 18, 2025: The meeting of the Sri Akal Takht appointed committee to supervise SAD reorganization ended with no decision on Tuesday.
A meeting was convened with only five members present instead of the usual seven. The committee plans to submit a letter to the Jathedars indicating that they will provide their report. This letter will be delivered to Shri Akal Takht Sahib by the committee members, as they have communicated.
Furthermore, the committee members expressed that it has not received adequate support from the party concerning membership matters. They stated that a letter will be drafted to Akal Takht Sahib, and they will adhere to any directives issued by Singh Sahib from Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Notably, following the resignation of Harjinder Singh Dhami as the committee head yesterday, Kartar Singh Badungar also resigned, leading to today's meeting being conducted by the five remaining members.
The committee members affirmed that once the Jathedars receive their report from Singh Sahibs, they will present the letter. They also assured that any decision made by the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib will be upheld by the committee members.
It was emphasized that all five members are committed to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and will ensure compliance with any orders received. The committee reiterated that the Shiromani Akali Dal did not assist with the new recruitment process, prompting their decision to submit a comprehensive report to Sri Akal Takht Sahib along with a letter.
