Education Dept. holds “Sustainability Leadership Program” at DSCE, Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 3, 2025: A District-Level Sustainability Leadership Program was organized at Dev Samaj College of Education (DSCE) in Ferozepur City under the guidance of the Education Department. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about sustainable waste management practices.
The program witnessed the participation of 30 schools, including School Nodal Officers and three meritorious students from each school. The chief guest of the event, Dr. Satinder Singh, Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary Education), honored the outstanding students for their commendable performance in sustainability initiatives. The event was graced by Mrs. Rajwinder Kaur, Principal of Dev Samaj College of Education, and Ashwinder Singh, District Nodal Officer of the Sustainability Leadership Program.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Satinder Singh emphasized that the primary objective of the program is to create awareness among students about sustainability practices so they can further educate society. He explained the importance of managing e-waste, dry waste, and wet waste effectively, underlining the crucial role such projects play in building a clean and green society.
The event featured interactive sessions and stage coordination by Mrs. Rajni Jagga and Sandeep Babbar, who actively contributed to the program's success. Students and teachers were provided with refreshments, books, and stationery items as part of the initiative, promoting environmental awareness and community participation.
