HRTC buses to get security in Punjab, CM Sukhu's talks with CM Mann

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), March 19, 2025 – In response to recent attacks on Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses in Punjab, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken swift action, ensuring security for vehicles traveling through the neighboring state.
CM Sukhu spoke with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who has assured a safe environment for HRTC buses.
Addressing the Assembly, CM Sukhu emphasized the strong ties between the two states, referring to Punjab as an "elder brother."
He further stated that discussions will also take place at the Director General of Police (DGP) level to enhance coordination and security measures.
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has assured strict action against those responsible for the stone-pelting incidents that caused unrest.CM Sukhu also reaffirmed Himachal Pradesh’s commitment to maintaining peace and taking appropriate steps to address the situation.
The state governments of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab are now working closely to ensure the safety of passengers and prevent further incidents.
