MP Sanjeev Arora urges farmers to leverage GADVASU expertise at Pashu Palan Mela

Ludhiana (Punjab), March 22, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora went to see the exhibition at Pashu Palan Mela organized by Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University here on Saturday.
This was the second and final of the exhibition, which was largely attended by the farmers across the state.Later, addressing the farmers’ gathering at the Vet University premises, Arora appreciated the exhibition and hoped that the farmers will learn a lot from it.
He asked the farmers not to consider this event only a `mela’ rather it is place to gain knowledge and information for doing better in the field of farming.
He made an appeal to the farmers to follow all the recommendations of the Vet University for increasing the production thus enhancing the income.Arora suggested the Vet University authorities to make more efforts for increasing production of dairy farming and milk.
He asked the farmers not to visit the Vet University only during melas rather they should keep on visiting the Vet University on a regular basis to increase the know how about the farming.
He stressed on the need to produce better quality animals like a buffalo from Andhra Pradesh was sold at Rs.40 crore in Brazil sometimes in the back.He lauded the services and the role being played by the Vet University in improving condition of economy and the farming in the state.
On the occasion, Arora was honoured with a memento by the Vet Varsity Vice Chancellor Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill.
