MP Sanjeev Arora distributes NOCs at GLADA camp, all backlog to be clear by March-end

Ludhiana (Punjab), March 22, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora visited the NOC camp for residents by Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) at 200-feet Road, near Flower Enclave, Ludhiana on Saturday.
On the occasion, Arora distributed 25 no-objection certificates (NOCs) among the residents.
Speaking on the occasion, he said GLADA office is taking steps to facilitate applicants seeking regularisation of plots and buildings in unauthorised colonies, adding that to accommodate the applicants, the GLADA office is assisting the public by organising special NOC camps.
These camps provide a platform for the applicants to address any NOC-related issues and obtain necessary certificates. He said the GLADA office will hold such camps every week for facilitating the public.
Further, Arora said he was not aware of the situation that people are facing the problem due to NOC, adding that he held a first meeting with the GLADA authorities on March 14 after listening about the issue.
He said after his intervention in the matter, the situation has improved a lot. So far, around 1,000 NOCs have been issued to the public.
He added all the pending NOCs will be issued to public by GLADA till March 31. If someone has given fresh application for getting NOC then it will be issued within 30 days of filing of the application.
Arora said he has learned that these NOC cases were pending for the last about two years, resulting to which public was getting harassed a lot.
He made an appeal to public not to give money to any mediator for getting NOCs and if anyone asks money for the same then the matter should be brought either to his notice or the GLADA authorities.
He said the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led state government is always ready to provide prompt and efficient services to the people.In a question and answer session, he told the public that as per the notification there is no need of NOC for the plots measuring less than 72 square yards.
Among others, GLADA CA (Chief Administrator) Sandeep Kumar was also present there.
