Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), March 22, 2025: The Anti-Terrorist Front India (ATFI) has intensified its opposition to the display of Bhindranwale posters in Himachal Pradesh, calling it a threat to the state's peace. ATFI’s National President, Viresh Shandilya, has demanded strict action against individuals bringing such posters into the state, labeling it an act of treason.
Speaking at a press conference in Shimla on Saturday, Shandilya claimed that the posters were part of a larger conspiracy to destabilize Himachal Pradesh. He called for immediate intervention from the Chief Ministers of Himachal and Punjab to curb such activities.
Demands for Legislative Action
Shandilya has urged the Himachal Assembly to pass a resolution stating that anyone bringing Bhindranwale-related materials into the state will face legal action and imprisonment
He emphasized that the Hindu-Sikh brotherhood should remain intact and vowed to escalate the issue to the national level through a mass movement.
Protest at Shimla Bus Stand
Following Shandilya’s statements, ATFI activists staged a protest at the Tutikandi bus stand in Shimla.
Protestors stopped buses arriving from Punjab and put up posters of Bharat Mata and Indian martyrs on the vehicles. They also raised slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Bhindranwale Murdabad”, emphasizing their stand against divisive elements.
The protest, according to ATFI, was a symbolic warning to those attempting to disrupt the unity and integrity of the nation.
