SSP Sidhu leads ‘Motorcycle Rally’ in Ferozepur honouring martyrs & advocating against drug abuse
Firozpur, March 23, 2025: In a tribute to the legendary martyrs Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on their martyrdom day, a powerful awareness rally against drug abuse was organized by the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Rajguru Sukhdev Memorial Society under the leadership of President Varinder Singh Wairar. The rally, brimming with patriotic spirit, culminated at the Hussainiwala Border after passing through key landmarks.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Bhupinder Singh Sidhu, in a remarkable act of leadership, spearheaded the rally on a motorcycle. While riding ahead of the march, the SSP delivered a compelling message to society: join the fight against drugs and work together to create a healthier, addiction-free community. He urged citizens to come forward with timely information to help the police combat the scourge of drugs effectively.
The rally began with prayers and devotional hymns at the Gurdwara Saragarhi Sahib, where young participants donned vibrant saffron turbans and carried matching flags, symbolizing hope and resilience. The participants passionately chanted slogans such as "Inquilab Zindabad" and "Say No to Drugs, Embrace Healthy Living," infusing the event with energy and purpose.
The march proceeded through several villages and was attended by individuals of all ages, including youth, elders, and children. It concluded with tributes at Hussainiwala Martyrs' Memorial, where participants laid floral wreaths and pledged to continue the fight against drugs in honour of the sacrifices made by the martyrs. The rally served as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, inspiring hope and change within the community.
In the march, leader of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Rajguru Sukhdev Memorial Society, Baldev Singh Bhullar, retired DSO, Jathedar Karnail Singh Bhawra, President Jatt Sabha Punjab, Lakhbir Singh, spokesperson of Traffic Police, Balkaran Singh Jung Canada, Manbir Singh Bawa and others were present.
