SPS Parmar is new Vigilance Chief

Chandigarh, March 26, 2025: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau along with two Additional Director General of Police (ADGPs). The Home Department (Home-1 Branch) issued the transfer orders, reassigning key responsibilities within the state police force.
As per the official notification:

IPS officer Surinder Pal Singh Parmar, previously serving as ADGP, Law and Order, has been appointed as the new Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, replacing G. Nageshwara Rao.

G. Nageshwara Rao, the outgoing Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, has been transferred as ADGP Provisioning relieving additional Sidhansu Kumar Srivastava from additional charge.
