Chandigarh, April 28, 2025 – Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia today launched a scathing attack on NSA detainee Amritpal Singh, releasing videos that allegedly expose his family's involvement in drug abuse and criminal activities.
Majithia released a video on X reportedly showing Amritpal’s brother, Harpreet Singh, rolling a joint inside a car, contradicting the family's claims of innocence. He also played an earlier clip where Amritpal’s father, Tarsem Singh, alleged that drugs had been planted on Harpreet.
"This video clearly proves Harpreet is a habitual drug offender, and that Tarsem Singh lied to protect him, despite being a baptized Sikh," Majithia said.
Further intensifying his allegations, Majithia presented another recording where Tarsem Singh could be heard criticizing his sons, Amritpal and Harpreet.
Citing previous audios, Majithia alleged Amritpal's involvement in a Rs 22 crore dacoity linked to notorious gangster Jaipal Bhullar, a claim supported by Sukhpreet Hairnau, whose brother Gurpreet was allegedly murdered at Amritpal’s behest.
Majithia accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of shielding Amritpal, stating that despite serious allegations – including political assassination plots and gang links with figures like Arsh Dalla and Lawrence Bishnoi – no substantial investigation had been undertaken.
"Amritpal’s links with gangsters are evident, yet the government merely extended his NSA detention without probing deeper into the criminal conspiracies," he said.
Majithia also released a video allegedly showing Mandi Board Chief Engineer Jatinder Singh Bhangu escorting Amritpal during his surrender at a Gurdwara in Moga.
"Despite Bhangu’s role in sheltering a fugitive, no action has been taken. Instead, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was seen sharing the stage with Bhangu at an official event," Majithia added.
The SAD leader demanded an impartial and thorough probe into Amritpal Singh’s activities, criticizing the government’s alleged complacency and selective action.
