Chandigarh, May 18, 2025 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij on Saturday declared that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, a “new India” is rising—one that gives a firm response to its enemies.
He was addressing thousands of citizens at a massive Tiranga Yatra organized in Ambala Cantonment to honor the Indian Armed Forces and celebrate their recent successful strikes on Pakistan.

Vij asserted that in the last four days, India had demonstrated unmatched precision in its military retaliation, dismantling multiple terrorist bases across Pakistan. “Our Armed Forces brought Pakistan to its knees within four days. The world has witnessed the strength of a new India,” he said.
The rally, which Vij described as the “largest and most spirited in 40 years,” saw widespread participation from people of all walks of life—youth, ex-servicemen, traders, religious leaders, and students—demonstrating deep patriotic fervor.
Chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and waving Tricolors, participants marched in solidarity with the Armed Forces.
Decisive Strikes and National Unity
Vij claimed India’s strikes were strategically targeted using indigenous BrahMos missiles, destroying terrorist hideouts, airbases, and command centers.
“Though Pakistan tried to deny it, their recent tenders for airbase repairs confirm the effectiveness of our strikes,” he added.
He also highlighted how India’s intelligence and all three wings of the Armed Forces worked in coordination to ensure success, eliminating nearly 100 terrorists and 45 Pakistani soldiers.
Criticism of Turkey and Foreign Interference
Vij criticized Turkey for aligning with Pakistan during the conflict. “Turkey operated drones from Pakistani soil, but our forces responded firmly. Despite India’s aid during the 2023 earthquake, they turned against us. A snake bites even if you feed it milk,” he remarked.
He confirmed that India has since halted trade with Turkey and Azerbaijan, and Indian tourists are boycotting them.
Ambala Rallies Behind the Forces
The Tiranga Yatra began at the Government College and passed through key markets and streets, drawing cheers and floral showers from shopkeepers and local associations. The event turned the city into a sea of saffron, white, and green.
Among the dignitaries present were SDM Vineesh Kumar, DSP Ramesh Kumar, Municipal Council Chairperson Swarn Kaur, Vice Chairperson Lalta Prasad, and representatives from various organizations.
Vij closed by affirming the people’s full faith in PM Modi’s leadership: “What he says is right. India will not rest until every terrorist is eliminated. Just as soldiers guard our borders, citizens must show they stand behind them.”
