Ferozepur students visit Senior Citizens Home; moved by elders' stories
Ferozepur, May 24, 2025 : As part of a community outreach program aimed at instilling the values of empathy and respect for the elderly, students from Das & Brown World School visited Shri Ram Bagh Senior Citizens Home.

School Principal Ruchi Pandey shared that the visit was organized to inspire students to serve and connect with the older generation. During the interaction, students embraced the elderly, listened to their life stories, and shared moments of joy and sorrow. The emotional atmosphere brought tears to the eyes of many students as they heard the heartfelt experiences of the residents.
Class 11 student Arvi Arora delivered a touching speech emphasizing the importance of elders in society. “Serving the elderly is our moral duty,” she said. “We should cultivate such values at home so that no elder is ever forced to live in a senior citizens' home. But for those who are here due to circumstances, we must make them feel loved and cared for.”
The event also featured cultural performances by students Jia, Bhoomika, and Yashita, who entertained the residents with songs, prompting many elders to join in with joyful enthusiasm. Students donated ration kits and other essential items to the home as a gesture of care and support.
The students were deeply touched by the experience, and many pledged to uphold the values taught by their parents by always respecting and caring for the elderly in their families. Principal Pandey added that the school regularly organizes such initiatives to help students understand social issues and build compassionate communities.
