Pre-recruitment training for Army, Paramilitary, and Police to begin from June 25 in Patiala

Patiala (Punjab), June 11, 2025: A 45-day pre-recruitment training course for joining the Army, paramilitary forces, and police will begin from June 25 at the Pre-Recruitment Centre under the District Defence Services Welfare Office, Patiala.
The initiative is exclusively for candidates from Punjab, with the goal of preparing the children of serving soldiers, ex-servicemen, and civilians for careers in uniformed services.
Retired Commander Baljinder Virk, District Defence Services Welfare Officer, shared that the course will focus on both physical fitness and written exam preparation, tailored to meet the recruitment standards of various forces.
Eligibility Criteria:
- For Soldier Recruitment:
- Age: 17.5 to 21 years
- Height: Minimum 170 cm
- Chest: 77 cm (with 5 cm expansion)
- Weight: Minimum 50 kg
- Education: Minimum 10th pass with 45% overall marks and 33% in each subject
- For Clerk/SKT Recruitment:
- Age: 17.5 to 21 years
- Height: Minimum 162 cm
- Education: Must have scored 50% marks in English and Math/Accounts/Bookkeeping
How to Apply:
Interested candidates must bring their educational certificates, passport-size photographs, and for ex-servicemen's children, a discharge book. SC category candidates must bring their caste certificate.
Registrations can be done at the District Defence Services Welfare Office, Patiala, located near the railway station.
