Ludhiana (Punjab), June 11, 2025: Despite the scorching heat, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora — the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly seat — continued to address poll meetings across the city on Wednesday.
While speaking at a gathering in Mall Enclave (Ward No. 71), Arora made a fervent appeal to voters to turn out in large numbers and vote for him to ensure large-scale development across the city.
Highlighting the development works he has undertaken over the past three years, he urged the electorate that now it’s time to vote for him. Arora assured to deliver four times more development if elected in the upcoming by-election.
He noted that although a majority of voters in the Ludhiana (West) Assembly constituency are educated, the voter turnout remains low, typically between 30–35 percent in many areas.
“It’s time to reverse this trend and aim for a minimum 60–70 percent polling turnout,” he said, urging citizens to recognize their social responsibility towards democracy. “Every single vote matters in an election,” he added.
Arora reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Ludhiana into a model city. “The time will come when people from other cities across the country will cite Ludhiana as an example of development,” he said. “People will feel proud to be residents of this city.”
Several supporters including Mala Dhanda, Nandani Jairath, Rajiv Nayar, and Dr. Gurpreet praised Arora's efforts and vision. Mala Dhanda said that Arora has given the city a facelift and promised that his victory would mark a new beginning for Ludhiana’s development.
Nandani Jairath described him as a “precious diamond” who has significantly improved civic amenities. They collectively appealed to voters to support a candidate dedicated to the city’s progress.
Sonia Nayar, Sanjeev Dhanda, Pardeep Walia, Ravinder Syan, Bhushan Jain, and Bawa Mittal were also present on the occasion.
