Congress expels Laxman Singh from the party for 6 years

Madhya Pradesh, June 11, 2025: Congress President Malik Arjun Kharge has expelled former Madhya Pradesh MLA and senior leader Digvijay Singh's brother Laxman Singh from the primary membership of the party for six years for anti-party activities. The action has come into effect with immediate effect.
Congress Disciplinary Committee Member Secretary Tariq Anwar issued a statement saying that Laxman Singh repeatedly made public statements against the party policies and leadership, due to which the image of the party was damaged.
Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee had recommended action against him, after which this decision was taken.Laxman Singh has been a five-time MP and three-time MLA. He had earlier joined the BJP in 2004, but returned to the Congress in 2013.
The party has expelled him, especially for his controversial statements against Rahul Gandhi and Robert Vadra and for openly criticizing the party leadership.
