PPCB conducts seminar to promote efficient and eco-friendly brick kiln operations
Ferozepur, June 14, 2025: A seminar and training session on the theme ‘Better Fuel Feeding and Operation Practices for induced draft brick kiln’ for the Brick Kiln Workforce was organised today by the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) at Ferozepur.
Prominent kiln owners from Ferozepur, Zira, and Guru Har Sahai — including Sanjeev Gupta, Jagsir Singh, Lada Vohra, Baltek Singh, Bindra, and Sukhdayal actively participated in the seminar.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended by District President Rakesh Aggarwal and local brick kiln owners, who greeted the visiting officials with floral bouquets and garlands.
During the seminar, PSO Maganbir Singh and Executive Engineer Abhishek Chauhan from the Punjab Department of Science and Technology provided in-depth insights into the technical aspects of brick kiln operations. They also addressed various environmental challenges related to the industry and offered practical solutions.
Kiln owners used the platform to share their ongoing difficulties with the officials, who assured them of prompt resolutions at appropriate levels.
The session was also attended by Environmental Engineer Gulshan Kumar, Assistant Environmental Engineer Varun Kumar, and Junior Engineers Jaswinder Singh and Ranjit Singh.
Towards the conclusion, District President Rakesh Aggarwal, along with the kiln owners, recognised the presence of keynote speakers for their valuable guidance and contribution towards streamlining kiln operations.
