Chandigarh, June 15, 2025: In an exclusive interview to Baljit Balli, Senior Journalist and Babushahi Network Editor, veteran Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sikandar Singh Maluka made a major revelation, stating that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had personally invited him to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Speaking candidly, Maluka also expressed his intent to mediate and bring rebel Akali leaders back into the party fold.
When asked whether the rift between his son and daughter-in-law with SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal still exists, Maluka responded cautiously, hinting at ongoing tensions. He also commented on the rise of Sukhbir Badal’s leadership within the party, shedding light on how and why it gained traction over the years.
