Press Club and Mayank Foundation organize Blood Donation Camp
Husband-wife and father-daughter duos among 53 donors on World Blood Donor Day
Ferozepur, June 15, 2025: With the joint efforts of Press Club and Mayank Foundation, a massive blood donation camp was organized at Press Club Bhavan on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from 53 donors, including unique husband-wife and father-daughter duos who came forward to donate blood together, setting an inspiring example for society.
In this camp, apart from the members of Press Club and Mayank Foundation, prominent personalities of the city also contributed to the society by donating blood with enthusiasm. Among them, Municipal President Rinku Grover, SMO Dr. Nikhil Gupta, Dr. Jatinder Kochhar, Dr Anmol Sodhi, advocate Karan Puggal and father-daughter Shavinder Malhotra and their daughter Anshika Malhotra, husband and wife Gagan and Meenu Agarwal, Gaurav and Shweta Grover, Rajkumar and his wife Rajni Grover also donated blood. The families who donated blood said that they are also motivating their new generation to donate blood as "blood donation is great" and a unit of blood can save someone's life.
Among the donors was Robin, who celebrated his birthday by donating blood and urged others to come forward regularly for this noble cause. First-time donors Jyot Kumar and Arunava Vashisht also shared their positive experience, expressing their commitment to continue donating blood in the future.
The symbolic participation of family pairs emphasized the growing awareness and generational shift towards humanitarian service. The donor families mentioned they are encouraging the younger generation to understand the value of blood donation, which they described as a “supreme donation” capable of saving lives.
Press Club President Mandeep Kumar extended heartfelt thanks to all the donors and reiterated that blood donation is one of the greatest acts of humanity, affirming that the Press Club would continue organizing such camps in the future.
Deepak Sharma, founder of Mayank Foundation, emphasized that spreading awareness about blood donation and ensuring timely availability of blood to those in need remains their primary mission. He affirmed the foundation's continued dedication to serving humanity through such initiatives.
To make this blood donation camp successful, Dr. Dishwin Bajwa and his team made a special contribution. This effort spread awareness about the importance of blood donation and inspired the young generation to become new blood donors.
