"YOGA FOR ONE EARTH, ONE HEALTH"
BSF holds 11th Int’l Yoga Day 2025 celebrations at JCP Hussainiwala
Ferozepur, June 21, 2025: The Border Security Force, Sector Headquarters Ferozepur, along with its under-command battalions, proudly celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day on the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” with great enthusiasm and a spirit of unity at the historic Joint Check Post (JCP), Hussainiwala, as well as at other BSF locations (HQs/BOPs) along the Indo-Pak international border.
The event witnessed the participation of BSF officers, subordinate officers, jawans, and youth from bordering villages. The objective behind involving local youth was to instill the importance of a healthy lifestyle and to steer them away from the menace of drug abuse.
A collective yoga session was conducted in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) issued by the Ministry of AYUSH. Participants performed various asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques aimed at enhancing physical fitness, mental well-being, and spiritual harmony.
Senior BSF officials addressed the gathering, underscoring the transformative power of yoga in daily life—not only as a means of achieving physical fitness but also as a vital tool for stress management, mental clarity, and operational preparedness. The enthusiastic involvement of families and local civilians infused the event with a strong sense of community, highlighting yoga’s universal appeal and its unique ability to foster unity, harmony, and collective well-being across all sections of society.
The celebration was not just a physical fitness activity but also a reaffirmation of BSF’s commitment to promoting a healthy and disciplined lifestyle among troops and their families. It further aimed to raise awareness about the global significance of India’s ancient tradition of yoga as a source of wellness and peace.
The Border Security Force extends heartfelt thanks to all media houses and community members who supported and joined hands in spreading the message of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
