Ferozepur, July 1, 2025: The Ferozepur Division of Indian Railways has achieved remarkable milestones in June 2025, under the financial year 2025–26. Owing to the continuous, disciplined efforts and efficient management by its staff and officers, the division recorded a freight loading of 1.05 million tonnes, marking an increase of nearly 30% compared to the same period last year.
The division generated approximately ₹190.37 crore in freight revenue during the month, reflecting a significant 53% growth over June 2024.
The Ferozepur Division also excelled in loading essential commodities, including food grains, packaged food items, and tractors. In June 2025, it loaded 0.94 million tonnes of food grains—a 49% rise compared to last year—and dispatched 25 rakes of tractors, marking an 8% increase.
Punctuality performance also saw a boost, with train operations achieving over 83% on-time performance in June, which is 14% higher than the same month last year. To enhance passenger convenience, the division introduced two new weekly train services from Ferozepur Cantt Railway Station to Hazur Sahib Nanded and Haridwar, benefiting travellers across various categories.
Divisional Railway Manager Sanjay Sahu attributed these achievements to the collaborative efforts of departments including Operations, Commercial, Mechanical, Engineering, Signal & Telecommunication, Electrical, and RPF. He emphasized that Indian Railways' safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services are not only benefiting businesses and industries but also significantly contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
