India Post launches special waterproof envelopes for Raksha Bandhan
Overseas Rakhi delivery service also available
Ferozepur, July 8, 2025: This Raksha Bandhan, India Post has introduced specially designed waterproof envelopes featuring vibrant colours and the message “Happy Raksha Bandhan,” which are expected to be a big hit among sisters. These attractive envelopes are available at all post offices under the Ferozepur Division in adequate quantity.
Despite being larger and more colourful than regular envelopes, each envelope is priced at just ₹15, ensuring both affordability and safety for sending rakhis. These waterproof envelopes guarantee the safe delivery of rakhis to brothers.
Sharing details about international services, Ferozepur Division’s Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Ravi Kumar, said that sisters can now easily send rakhis to brothers residing abroad at reasonable rates through India Post. Compared to private courier services, India Post offers much lower charges for overseas delivery.
To ease the process, separate counters for booking rakhis have also been set up at post offices. Customers can conveniently check all domestic and international service rates related to rakhi delivery through India Post’s official website, www.indiapost.gov.in.
In addition, India Post is offering complimentary packing boxes and packing assistance for sending rakhis abroad, ensuring a secure and hassle-free experience for customers.
