Tarn Taran (Punjab), July 12, 2025 — Deputy Commissioner C Rahul has appealed to all beneficiaries availing free ration under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013 to complete their e-KYC process by July 14, failing which their wheat quota may be suspended.
In a public advisory, the Deputy Commissioner informed that as per the latest guidelines issued by the Government of India, e-KYC has been made mandatory for all eligible ration card holders.
To make the process more accessible, beneficiaries can now complete their e-KYC from the comfort of their homes using the ‘Mera e-KYC Face App’ — a mobile application launched by the government to simplify KYC verification through facial recognition.
“Beneficiaries must act promptly and get their e-KYC done either through the mobile app or by visiting their nearest ration dealer,” said C Rahul.
He added that those who fail to complete the process by July 14, 2025, risk disruption of their entitlement to subsidized food grains under the scheme. All beneficiaries are urged to verify their details and complete the e-KYC process well in time to ensure uninterrupted access to the ration supply.
