Massive Congress Rally in Ferozepur signals momentum for 2027 Punjab elections
Ferozepur, September 28, 2025: The Congress party’s ongoing organizational drive to select district presidents turned into a massive rally in Guru Har Sahai, Ferozepur, as thousands of workers gathered to show their strength.
Punjab Congress observer Vivek Bansal, attending as chief guest, expressed confidence that the overwhelming response pointed to a Congress comeback in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. “This is no longer a meeting but a grand rally—Congress forming the next government in Punjab is certain,” he declared.
Former MLA Raminder Singh Awla praised grassroots workers as the true backbone of the party, urging that future district presidents in Ferozepur and Fazilka be chosen from dedicated cadres. He stressed the need for honest leaders who work tirelessly for ordinary workers, while criticizing those who had tarnished the state’s image for personal gain.
Bansal, speaking to the media, highlighted the enthusiasm of party workers and reiterated that Congress continues to work under the guidance of Rahul Gandhi, focusing on safeguarding democracy rather than merely seeking power.
The rally saw participation from senior Congress leaders and thousands of workers from across the district, reflecting a strong wave of support for the party’s resurgence in Punjab.
