Six amendment bills to be introduced in Punjab Vidhan Sabha today (Sep 29)

Chandigarh, September 29, 2025:The Punjab Vidhan Sabha will take up key legislative business on last day of this ongoing session today, with the government set to introduce six amendment bills across multiple sectors.
A minister will move the Seeds (Punjab Amendment) Bill, 2025, aimed at revising provisions related to seed regulation in the state.
The House will be requested to take the bill into consideration immediately and pass it.The Punjab Right to Business (Amendment) Bill, 2025 will also be introduced, with the government proposing changes intended to further ease business procedures for entrepreneurs and investors.
Further, the session’s agenda includes the Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025, aligning state legislation with the latest updates under the national GST framework.
The House will additionally consider the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which relates to rules governing real estate and property development in the state.
Another important item is the Punjab Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Bill, 2025, seeking to update regulations for cooperative organizations.Finally, the Punjab Town Improvement (Amendment) Bill, 2025 will be introduced, focusing on urban development and planning provisions.
For each of these bills, the minister concerned will move that they be taken up for immediate consideration and be passed during the session.
