Educate Punjab releases ₹47.4 Lakh aid for 370 flood-hit students in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, October 15, 2025: In a significant relief effort for flood-affected families, the Educate Punjab Project organization has launched a major campaign to cover the educational expenses of students from devastated villages. The initiative was inaugurated on Wednesday.
The campaign directly addresses the financial burden on families struggling to recover from recent floods which include Rs.47,40,163 for 370 stuents from 8 villages in Ferozepur District. The fee will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the respective schools and this process will be carried out in a phased manner.
The campaign was formally launched at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Public High School, Village Katora, where fee assistance was distributed to the affected students.
This initiative is part of Educate Punjab's larger, round-the-clock mission to restore normalcy in 12 flood-affected villages across Punjab. The organization has undertaken the responsibility of supporting the education of nearly 500 students from flood-affected families. This extensive fee distribution campaign is set to continue until March 31, 2026.
Jaswinder Singh Khalsa, a representative from Educate Punjab stated that while they faced significant challenges during the service and rehabilitation work in these villages, the mission was successfully carried out with great diligence. This was made possible through the cooperation of the local administration and the people. The organization has pledged to continue its welfare work with increased vigour in the future.
