Tarn Taran (Punjab), October 30, 2025: In a major political boost for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the Tarn Taran by-election, prominent Akali Dal leader Vandana Gill joined the party along with a large group of her supporters.
Those who joined AAP with Vandana Gill include Parmjeet Kaur, Manroop Kaur, Sanju, Manjinder Singh, Pooja, Mehakdeep Kaur, Radhika, Manjit Kaur, Parminder Kaur, Gurwinder Singh Rajput, Raman Singh Pandoriwala, Dr. Lal Singh, and Heera Singh. All expressed confidence in AAP’s honest politics and welfare-oriented governance under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
The new members were warmly welcomed into the AAP family by AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi, Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar (AAP’s in-charge for Tarn Taran by-election), Chairman Gurdev Singh Lakhna, Chairman Jarag, MLA Naresh Kataria, Ranjit Sharma, MC Gagandeep Kaur, Rajiv Sharma, Japnam Singh, and Gurjit Kaur. It was noted that MC Gagandeep Kaur and Rajiv Sharma played an instrumental role in motivating Vandana Gill and her team to join the Aam Aadmi Party.
Addressing the media, Sherry Kalsi said that AAP has emerged as the people’s favourite party because it works sincerely for public welfare and transparency. “The people of Punjab are intelligent and aware. They have seen through the politics of lies and greed. Today, everyone is gravitating towards the Aam Aadmi Party, the only party that stands for honesty, progress, and the common people,” he said.
Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said that unlike traditional parties, AAP gives ranks and responsibilities purely on merit. “In AAP, even a small, hardworking volunteer can rise to become a chairman or minister. This is the beauty of our movement,” he said. He added that the people of Tarn Taran are well aware that only AAP practices politics of work, while others indulge in corruption and mudslinging.
Confident of victory, Bhullar said, “The people of Tarn Taran will bless AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu in this by-election because they have faith in the politics of development and honesty.”
