Ferozepur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express to begin from November 8; PM Modi to inaugurate virtually
Ferozepur, November 7, 2025: Northern Railway has announced the commencement of a new Vande Bharat Express service between Ferozepur Cantt and Delhi Junction, enhancing connectivity and reducing travel time for passengers of the region. The new semi-high-speed train (Train No. 02462/26462) will be flagged off on November 8, 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the service, marking a significant step in the modernization and expansion of India's railway network.
The inaugural special train will depart from Ferozepur Cantt at 08:05 AM, reaching Faridkot at 08:43 AM and departing at 08:45 AM. It will then arrive at Bathinda Junction at 09:30 AM and leave at 09:35 AM. The train is scheduled to reach Dhuri Junction at 10:43 AM, departing at 10:45 AM, and further arrive at Patiala at 11:25 AM, leaving at 11:27 AM. The next halt will be at Ambala Cantt at 12:18 PM, departing at 12:20 PM, followed by Kurukshetra at 12:48 PM and departure at 12:50 PM. The train will then reach Panipat Junction at 01:25 PM, departing 01:27 PM, and will finally arrive at Delhi Junction at 03:05 PM.
Railway officials stated that the new service will provide a comfortable, fast, and modern travel option for students, professionals, traders, and tourists traveling between Punjab and the national capital. The regular schedule and ticket details are expected to be issued shortly.
