New Delhi, November 18, 2025; Ten underprivileged couples tied the knot at a mass wedding ceremony organised by Delhi-based NGO Wishes and Blessings on November 16 at Nanaksar Gurdwara, Greater Kailash-II.
The event, held in collaboration with bespoke matchmaking agency The Vows, aimed to support families facing financial hardship and help couples begin their married lives with dignity—at no cost.
This marks the third edition of the NGO’s mass wedding initiative. In earlier years, 17 couples, including nine visually impaired pairs, were married under the programme. Continuing its mission to help individuals fulfil their aspirations, the organisation once again provided a meaningful start to newlyweds through a ceremony rooted in tradition and community support.

Dr. Geetanjali Chopra, Founder and President of Wishes and Blessings, said the initiative reinforces the organisation’s commitment to equality.
“Each edition strengthens our belief that love, dignity and equality are basic rights, not privileges. We feel blessed to help ten couples begin their new journeys surrounded by love and happiness,” she said while expressing gratitude to partners, donors and volunteers.
The mass wedding eased the financial burden on 20 families by covering all expenses and providing essential household items to the newlyweds. The Vows’ Co-founder Divya Khanna said supporting the initiative was a rewarding experience:
“Every couple deserves a beautiful beginning. Contributing to a cause where love transcends boundaries brought us immense joy.”
Several couples shared emotional messages of thanks. One bride, who lost her father and lacked the resources for a traditional wedding, said the initiative fulfilled her dream of marrying with dignity and blessings.
Wishes and Blessings, active for over a decade, works across eight states to build an inclusive society through programmes in education, nutrition, elderly care, disaster relief, skill development and community kitchens. The NGO has served more than 1 crore meals, supported 2,300+ children in education and positively impacted 90 lakh lives through its various initiatives.
