Government Schools' students exhibit skills in mock session of Punjab Vidhan Sabha

Sri Anandpur Sahib (Punjab), November 26, 2025 — In celebration of India’s Constitution Day and to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a mock session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha was held at the Punjab Legislative Assembly here on Wednesday.
Students from government schools across Punjab actively participated, bringing the legislative proceedings to life.
A total of 117 students took part, playing their roles with such authenticity that the session mirrored an actual Vidhan Sabha sitting.
Harkamaldeep Singh of the School of Eminence, Ghanouri Kalan, representing Dhuri MLA and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, delivered fact-based responses and engaged in lively exchanges with the opposition.
Harpreet Singh of Government Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Kotdhandal, portraying Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa, raised multiple state-related issues and engaged in repeated verbal clashes with the ruling party representative.
Jagmandar Singh of H.S.N. School of Eminence, Jaito, acting as Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, effectively conducted the proceedings, resolving arguments between the ruling party and opposition with professionalism, adjourning the House twice during the session.
Daljit Singh, representing Sri Anandpur Sahib MLA and Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, highlighted reforms and innovations introduced by the state government in the education sector.
Gursevak Singh of PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Harike Pattan, representing Patti MLA and Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, received high praise for his spontaneous and enthusiastic responses to opposition queries, displaying the poise of an experienced legislator.
The event offered students a hands-on experience of legislative processes while celebrating the principles of the Indian Constitution.
