BSF conducts Diamond Jubilee celebrations in hinterland area in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, November 28, 2025: A special outreach programme at P M Shree Senior Secondary School, Talwandi Jalle Khan, Ferozepur, was conducted by 99 BN BSF, Sector Headquarters, Border Security Force (BSF) as part of its ongoing Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. The event aimed to strengthen BSF–civil cooperation, create awareness about the Force’s role in national security, and motivate youth through interactive activities.
The BSF team was led by Sh. Mohinder Lal, Comdt Offg, DIG, accompanied by APS Virk, 2IC. Ajeet Singh, DC, and 20 personnel of 99 BN. Around 300 students and 25 staff members participated in the programme.
The event featured a welcome address by school authorities, followed by a presentation on BSF’s illustrious 60-year journey, operational achievements, and sacrifices. BSF officers delivered motivational talks focusing on discipline, patriotism, and career opportunities in BSF and other CAPFs. A weapon display was also organised, drawing keen interest from students.
An interactive session allowed students to ask questions related to border security, technology, and BSF duties. Cultural performances by students added vibrancy to the occasion. The programme generated strong interest among youth in national security and further strengthened civil force relations. Plantation was also done by the OffgtDIG, BSF Officers and staff in the school ground.
