  Chandigarh, December 5, 2025: Centre Government has cancelled 100 year celebration of construction of Gang Canal ferrying water to Rajasthan. Some Punjab BJP leaders have apprised Centre government that these celebrations could back fire on the party. After their opinion, Centre government cancelled programme and called back Union Jal Shakti Minister.
  
  Function was scheduled to be held at Harike Headworks in Ferozepur.
