Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defence celebrate 63rd Raising Day with enthusiasm
Ferozepur, December 6, 2025: The Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defence Department celebrated its 63rd Raising Day at the Divisional Commandant Headquarters of Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defence in Ferozepur.
During the programme, Anil Kumar Paruthi, Divisional Commandant, read out the congratulatory messages sent by President of India Droupadi Murmu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Home Secretary Sunil Kumar Jha, Director Civil Defence (Government of India), and Sanjeev Kalra, IPS, Special DGP, Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defence, Chandigarh. He extended warm wishes to all officers, employees, and volunteers of the department.
On this occasion, several officials—including Parminder Singh Thind, Chief Warden; Prem Nath Sharma, Deputy Chief Warden; Hari Ram Khindri; Arun Sharma, Post Warden; Rajesh Kumar, Post Warden; Kamalpreet Singh Dhillon, Battalion Commander (additional charge District Commander, Punjab Home Guards Ferozepur); and Gurlavdeep Singh Grewal, Battalion Commander, Ferozepur—were specially honoured for their exemplary services.
Divisional Commandant Paruthi also appreciated the dedication of Home Guards personnel deployed at various duty points and motivated them to continue performing at an even higher standard. The stage secretary duties were performed by Company Commander Parminder Singh Bath.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Warden Parminder Singh Thind praised the commitment of the Home Guards personnel and conveyed his best wishes on the Raising Day. Appreciation certificates were presented to Home Guards jawans for their outstanding duties, acknowledging and encouraging their continued service.
