Rail Traffic Alert: Upgrades force diversions, cancellations on Churu-Sadulpur Section
Ferozepur, December 10, 2025: The Railways have announced a major schedule overhaul, including cancellations, diversions, and delays, impacting numerous trains due to crucial infrastructure work on the Churu - Sadulpur Jn Section. The disruption is necessary for the commissioning of a patch doubling project and the installation of an Automatic Block Signalling system.
The changes, which affect travel from early January to late February 2026, include the complete cancellation of two key services: 19271/19272 Bhavnagar Terminus - Haridwar Jn Express will be fully cancelled on various dates between January 19 and January 24, 2026.
Several long-distance trains serving northern, western, and southern India will take diverted routes, leading to altered travel times and new stoppages: Ferozepur Cantt Services: Trains 20497/20498 Rameswaram - Ferozepur Cantt will be diverted via Sikar Jn – Loharu – Sadulpur Jn on multiple dates in January, adding stops at Jhunjhunu and Loharu. Jodhpur/Delhi Routes: Trains like the 22421/22422 Delhi Sarai Rohilla - Jodhpur Jn Express will detour via Rewari, Ringas, and Phulera between January 21 and January 24, affecting services. Bikaner/Howrah/Sealdah: Services originating from Bikaner/Lalgarh, including the 12259/12260 Sealdah/Bikaner Express and 12372 Bikaner - Howrah Jn Express, will be diverted via Jaipur and Merta Road Jn By Pass. These trains will see additional halts at stations like Jaipur Jn., Degana Jn., and Alwar Jn.
Passengers should also brace for delays, with some trains being regulated or rescheduled: 26471 Bikaner Jn - Delhi Cantt will be rescheduled from Bikaner Jn by 120 minutes (2 hours) between January 04 and January 23, 2026 and 22472 Delhi Sarai Rohilla - Lalgarh Jn and 19027 Bandra Terminus – Jammutavi will face en-route regulation of 30 minutes on specified dates in January.
Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay urged passengers to check their travel plans. "These temporary measures are essential for the long-term improvement of our infrastructure, ensuring safer and more efficient rail operations in the future," he stated. "We regret the inconvenience caused. Passengers are advised to check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or dial 139 for the latest updates before commencing their journey."
