Chandigarh, December 27, 2025: Akhil Bhartiya Agarwal Samaj Haryana State President and noted social worker Dr. Rajkumar Goyal has strongly urged the Central Government, the Union Ministry of Culture, and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to declare the historic haveli of Diwan Todarmal Jain in Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab, as a National Heritage monument and ensure its scientific conservation and preservation.
Popularly known as the Jahaz Haveli, the historic structure holds immense cultural and historical significance. Dr. Goyal said that Diwan Todarmal Jain occupies a revered place in Indian history as a rare symbol of sacrifice, courage, compassion, and humanity.
Recalling the Mughal period atrocities in Sirhind, Dr. Goyal said that when the four Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Gujri Ji were subjected to inhuman torture and even land was denied for their cremation, Diwan Todarmal Jain rose above fear and authority to uphold human values.
