Chandigarh, December 30, 2025: Punjabi Singer Jasbir Jassi has responded to Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj’s directive on not reciting Gurbani by him.
He said that he will not speak against Akal Takht Jathedar as he is highly respectable. He said that Sikhs have a rich history. He said that he will remain attached to Guru Granth Sahib.
He said that this matter is directly linked to our supreme institution, Akal Takht Sahib, and the Jathedar. He appealed to all to avoid speaking speaking against the Jathedar or fueling internal discord, cautioning that such divisions only provide an opportunity to weaken Sikh unity and obstruct the growth and propagation of Sikhi.
