Special Seminar on AI held at Saragarhi Memorial Govt Meritorious School
Ferozepur, February 4, 2026: A special seminar on “The Future and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Education” was organized at Saragarhi Memorial Meritorious School, Hakumat Singh Wala, Ferozepur, under the leadership of National Awardee Principal Dr. Satinder Singh.
Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Bhagat Singh University, Ferozepur, Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma attended the seminar as the chief guest and keynote speaker, while University Registrar Dr. Gazalpreet Singh was present as a special guest.
Welcoming the dignitaries, Principal Dr. Satinder Singh said that the use of Artificial Intelligence is rapidly increasing among students, but creating awareness about its responsible and ethical use has become the need of the hour. He encouraged students to benefit from the valuable guidance shared by Dr. Sharma, who has extensive international experience in this field.
In his keynote address, Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma highlighted that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a crucial role in modern education and research. He informed that he has published over 155 research papers at national and international levels and has participated in more than 40 international conferences. He added that research related to AI is progressing rapidly across the world. Dr. Sharma explained concepts of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning in detail and motivated students through real-life examples. He emphasized that hard work, self-discipline, and self-confidence are the keys to achieving success and any goal in life.
Registrar Dr. Gazalpreet Singh, in his address, provided detailed information about various job-oriented courses being offered by the university and advised students to choose subjects based on their interest, aptitude, and economic background.
During the seminar, Vice Principal Sukirti Sharma and Lecturer Navjot Kaur also addressed the students, highlighting the importance of career guidance and counseling, and guided them to select the right subjects for a successful future.
On the occasion, faculty members including Sukirti Sharma, Gurpreet Kaur, Rooppreet Kaur, Lakshmi, Gagandeep Kaur, Navjot Kaur, Jaswinder Singh, and Manoj Kumar were present.
