MLA Bhullar inaugurates 6th free medical camp in border village govt school Bare Ke
Ferozepur, February 8, 2025: Reiterating the Punjab government’s commitment to strengthening health and education infrastructure in border areas, Ferozepur City MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar said that unprecedented work has been carried out in these sectors over the past four years.
He was speaking while inaugurating the 6th free medical camp organised by the Agreed Foundation at Government Senior Secondary School, border village Bari Ke. The camp was held under the leadership of Dr Satinder Singh, President of the Foundation, in collaboration with Harmony Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital.
Praising the efforts of the Agreed Foundation, MLA Bhullar said that social service organisations play a vital role in supplementing government initiatives. He highlighted key health sector reforms such as Mohalla Clinics and the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme, stating that the state government is dedicated to the overall development of border regions.
Sharing details, Dr Satinder Singh said the Foundation had launched its medical service campaign to support needy residents of flood-affected border areas, particularly school students. So far, five medical camps had benefited over 2,000 people. In the sixth camp, expert doctors from Harmony Medical College—Dr Lakhwinder Singh and Dr Anuja—examined more than 125 patients and distributed medicines free of cost.
The camp received special support from Harmony College Director Yogesh Bansal and Principal Dr Suman Lata, enabling smoother delivery of services. School in-charge Ashwinder Singh, NSS in-charge Rajni Jagga, along with the school staff, played a key role in patient registration, management and overall arrangements.
Several dignitaries, including BPEO Ranjit Singh, village sarpanches Channan Singh and Gurbachan Singh, and other local representatives, were present on the occasion. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by school in-charge Ashwinder Singh.
