Supreme Court bans Pan Masala, Gutka use and spitting inside premises

New Delhi, February 13, 2026: In a decisive move to maintain cleanliness and decorum within its premises, the Supreme Court has issued a circular prohibiting the chewing of pan masala, gutka, tobacco, and similar substances inside court buildings.
The circular, dated February 11, 2026, was released by the Administrative General Branch of the apex court. It clearly directs all building users to refrain not only from consuming such products but also from spitting their residue anywhere within the court complex.
