Special 4-Week Dairy Training for SC farmers with refundable fee at Tarn Taran and Moga
Ferozepur, February 20, 2026: A special four-week Dairy Entrepreneurship Training Course is being organised exclusively for Scheduled Caste (SC) farmers, under the directions of Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development Gurmeet Singh Khuddian and Director, Dairy Development Department, Punjab Waryam Singh Gill.
Guided by Randeep Handa, the course will run from February 23 to March 20, 2026, at the Dairy Training Centres in Tarn Taran and Gill, Moga. The training aims to develop participants into skilled dairy managers, covering milk processing and value-added products, dairy farm management, scientific care of milch animals, and balanced cattle feed using modern techniques.
Interested dairy farmers from Ferozepur district must apply before February 23 by submitting copies of their matriculation certificate, Aadhaar card, passport-size photograph, SC certificate, and bank account details to the office of the Dairy Development Department, Punjab.
The training fee is ₹4,000, payable in cash; the entire amount will be refunded to the trainee’s bank account upon successful completion of the course. Additionally, trainees will be facilitated with bank loans at concessional interest rates, with 33% subsidy available for SC beneficiaries.
