Chandigarh, February 21, 2026: Punjab has emerged as a preferred destination for both domestic and global investors, registering remarkable growth in investment under the industrial policies of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, said AAP Punjab State Media Incharge Baltej Pannu on Saturday.
Speaking to the media, Pannu highlighted the steady rise in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) as a reflection of growing investor confidence in Punjab’s governance and industrial climate.
“Due to the excellent industrial policies of the Mann government, Punjab has made a significant leap in investment. It is a matter of pride that FDI in the state is witnessing continuous growth,” he said.
Pannu noted that Punjab has improved its national ranking from 14th to 11th, attracting renowned multinational companies to make the state their first choice. “It is the result of a secure industrial environment that Punjab has achieved this major milestone,” he added.
Sharing comparative data, Pannu said that between March 2022 and February 2026, Punjab received an average annual investment of ₹40,000 crore, totaling ₹1.34 lakh crore during the Mann government’s tenure.
He contrasted this with previous governments, saying the Congress-led administrations under Captain Amarinder Singh and Charanjit Channi averaged ₹23,000 crore annually, while the Akali-BJP government managed only ₹6,600 crore per year.
Looking ahead, Pannu announced that the ‘Invest Punjab’ Summit will be held in March, attracting hundreds of major companies from India and abroad. “This event will bring large-scale new investment to Punjab, boosting government revenue and creating lakhs of employment opportunities for the youth,” he said.
He concluded, “Under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, the government is dedicated to making Punjab economically prosperous and restoring it as a flourishing ‘Rangla Punjab’ once again.”
