Divisional Railway Hospital launched Arthroscopy surgery services
Ferozepur, March 1, 2026: The Divisional Railway Hospital, Ferozepur, has commenced arthroscopy surgery services under the leadership of Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar and the guidance of Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Ranjana Sehgal.
Recently, Dr. Amit and his medical team successfully performed an arthroscopic knee surgery on an employee working at the Rail Coach Factory workshop in Jalandhar. Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which the joint is not fully opened. Instead, two small incisions of about one centimeter each are made, and the operation is conducted with the help of an arthroscope.
This advanced technique significantly reduces pain and enables faster recovery, allowing patients to resume their normal routine at the earliest. The introduction of arthroscopy surgery marks a significant milestone, as such a facility has been started for the first time at the Divisional Railway Hospital in Ferozepur.
The Ferozepur Division reaffirmed its commitment to providing modern and improved healthcare facilities to railway employees in the future as well.
