DC visits Civil Hospital, reviews condition of patients, situation stable
Ferozepur, March 2, 2026: To inquire about the health of patients from village Hazara Singh Wala who fell ill due to contaminated drinking water, Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma visited Civil Hospital.
During her visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by SDM Lindiya and Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajiv Parashar. She interacted with the doctors and obtained detailed information regarding the treatment being provided to the affected patients.
DC stated that the condition of the patients is now stable. She directed the health authorities to ensure that no lapse occurs in the treatment and that all necessary medicines and medical assistance are provided without delay.
She further instructed officials of the Health Department to maintain continuous monitoring of the situation and ensure the availability of safe and quality healthcare services to residents. Health teams are conducting door-to-door surveys in the village, and fresh samples of drinking water have been collected for testing.
SE and XEN of the Panchayati Raj Department have been directed to ensure the supply of clean drinking water to villagers. A medical camp has also been set up in the village where specialist doctors are available to provide necessary medical assistance.
DC also interacted with the family members of the patients and assured them that the district administration stands firmly with them during this difficult time and will extend all possible support.
She appealed to the residents to use only the drinking water being supplied through tankers by the administration and to consume boiled water as a precautionary measure.
