Railways to run 6 pairs of Shaheedi Mela Special Trains between Ferozepur Cantt and Hussainiwala on March 23
Ferozepur, March 19, 2026: To facilitate passengers visiting the annual Shaheedi Mela held in memory of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, the Railways has decided to run six pairs of special trains between Ferozepur Cantt and Hussainiwala on March 23, 2026.
Shaheed Diwas of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev is observed every year on March 23, and a Shaheedi Mela is organized annually near the Sutlej Bridge at Hussainiwala.
According to Paramdeep Singh Saini, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Ferozepur, the special trains from Ferozepur Cantt to Hussainiwala will operate as follows: Train No. 1 Up at 9:00 am, 3 Up at 10:30 am, 5 Up at 11:55 am, 7 Up at 1:50 pm, 9 Up at 3:30 pm, and 11 Up at 5:00 pm.
On the return journey, the special trains from Hussainiwala to Ferozepur Cantt will run as: Train No. 2 Dn at 9:40 am, 4 Dn at 11:10 am, 6 Dn at 12:45 pm, 8 Dn at 2:40 pm, 10 Dn at 4:20 pm, and 12 Dn at 6:00 pm.
The trains will halt at Ferozepur City railway station in both directions. The decision is expected to provide major relief and convenience to devotees and visitors travelling to attend the Shaheedi Mela at Hussainiwala.
