Luck Follows Courage: Ferozepur’s Bal Puraskar winner Shravan strikes ₹5 lakh jackpot
Ferozepur, March 22, 2026: In a remarkable turn of events, young achiever Shravan Singh from Ferozepur district has once again brought cheer to his family and village after winning a lottery prize of ₹5 lakh.
Shravan Singh, a resident of village Tara Wali in Mamdot, had earlier earned national recognition after being conferred the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2025 by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on December 26, 2025. During the occasion, he also got an opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Now, luck has smiled on him once again. According to information, Shravan had accompanied his father, Sona Singh, to Mamdot, where he purchased a lottery ticket worth ₹7 bearing the number 350. The ticket turned out to be a winning one, fetching him a prize of ₹5 lakh.
The news of the win sparked celebrations in the family and the village, with relatives and well-wishers rejoicing and dancing to the beats of drums.
Shravan had earlier made his district proud through his acts of courage and service. During ‘Operation Sindoor’, he supported army personnel by supplying milk, tea, and lassi, an effort for which he was also honoured by the Army authorities.
Expressing happiness over the latest development, Shravan and his father termed it a moment of great joy. Sona Singh said that the prize money would be carefully saved for his son’s future.
